The first step in the <a href="http://www.marcy.com/blog">website design</a> process is to define your target audience. If you say that ‘everyone is my audience’, then you need to go back to the drawing board and refine your answer. No product or service is needed by everyone. In fact, you could waste a lot of time and money finding that out the hard way. So do your homework now by clearly defining your target audience. Here are some basic questions to ask yourself:<p>
- Who does my product or service help?<p>
- Am I targeting consumers or businesses?<p>
- Local or national?<p>
- Is it men or women?<p>
- What is the age-group?<p>
- Do they buy my product or service online?<p>
- How often do they buy?<p>
- Who do they buy from now?<p>
- What are my projected sales figures for the first year?<p>
- What is the total market sales for my product or service?<p>
Website design begins with knowing your target audience better than anyone. And most of the data is available on the Internet. Your competitor’s website can also provide a wealth of information. If you already have a website up and running, and you’re not getting the desired results, then redefining your target audience can help.<p>
Keep in mind that the smaller the target audience the better the results. Just like in archery, many people can see the target, but the most successful hit the bulls-eye. Next in this series about website design, we’ll discuss how your competitors play an important role.<p>

When first starting out to create a website, especially if you are a beginner You can create your own web pages using a editor like Microsoft’s Front Page. With this software, you can write your web page like you would any document and then drag and drop images easily. Some practice may be needed, by buying some templates, you can cerate a professional website for free or by using some of the free templates found on the Internet. Mainly in order for you to successfully present your ideas you have to create an effective layout design in an interesting manner whatever your topic may be.
Layout
Content
Application of graphic designs
Easy and quick navigation
Logo
Choosing colour
Layout format - this will serve as your guide for a good design. Primarily this context must encompass a clear and well organized content that will make everybody understand and appreciate. A simple design, layout makes it easier for you to build your website. The end result will be a website which your visitors will find easy to navigate and easy get whatever information they want.
Application of graphic designs - you must be careful in choosing for the appropriate design that will best represent your projects.
Easy and quick navigation -Always see to it that you are able to include a link that will bring them back to the main page. create a navigation structure that is common for all the pages in your Web.Keep the use of hyperlinks inside your text paragraphs to a minimum. Don’t use hyperlinks inside text paragraphs to send your visitors to every random page of your Web. If you must use hyperlinks, add them to the bottom of a paragraph or to the navigation menus of your site. A key aspect to making your visitors happy is insuring they go where they need to go, quickly and efficiently. Good navigation design comes from experience, and should be one of the most important aspects of your website design project.
Logo - Create a simple logo to identity your website. Have a captivating tag line somewhere with the header, and write an About Us page which describes the uniqueness of your website. These will leave an impression for your visitors to remember your website.
Choosing colour- Have a clear color scheme based on the theme of your website. Choose carefully a set of colors you use for your background, text, border, tables and cells etc.The color scheme expresses the characters of your website and makes it unique and attractive.
one of the most important aspects you need to keep in mind at all times when choosing a website design firm or designing the website yourself. It is very important to remember that most of your visitors haven’t spoken to you yet and your site will be the first impression they have of your company. If your website design lacks professionalism and/or does not reflect that of a well established company, your new prospect can easily loose confidence.
Try and avoid run of the mill things like page counters, java text scrolling, flashing images, GIF images, signs which say “we are not ready.” Or, too many illustrations or animations, black grounds or fade ins.
2. Create a design which coveys in a stylish way what it has to. Instead of using downloaded illustrations use original ones.
3. Avoid things like heavy files or graphics. These will slow down your pages. GIF is better than JPEG files.
4. Think of the target audience and subject being addressed when designing. The overall effect should be that of exclusivity.

A website design which makes your site attractive and easy to navigate is an important advantage regardless of whether you are promoting merchandise or services, selling items through an internet shop, or just providing information and/or blogging.<p>
<a href="http://www.ladezign.com/" target="_blank">Website design</a> is important; it is what attracts visitors to your page and keeps them coming back. The ideal website has an attractive design template, worthwhile content, and no extraneous clutter that would prevent efficient site navigation.<p>
When picking your template colors, make sure and choose colors that are not painful to the eyes of visitors. Avoid picking bright colors, or using too many colors. The site can use too much color, so a good rule of thumb for your site is to select three different shades of one color. The shade of your text should also be easy to read against the background of the other colors you select.<p>
Quality subject matter is crucial to your web sites success. When your customers arrive, you want them to stay, come back and refer the site to their friends. You want to provide correct and informative content. In case you are selling an item, you want to provide full descriptions that are easy to understand.<p>
Another important aspect of website design is ease of navigation. You need to be certain that it is easy to get to all your pages. In fact, each page on your site should be reached by no more than three clicks. Navigation bars are probably the simplest way to be certain that your pages are linked properly. Another helpful option is to post a site index.<p>
You can put in lots of time and effort and still be unsuccessful if you can’t generate traffic to your website. <a href="http://www.ladezign.com/websitedesignarticles/352664-web-designsearch-engine.php" target="_blank">Search engine optimization</a> is a process that can give your pages the promotional boost they need. You need to work the proper relevant buzzwords into the content of your site so that you get a better ranking on the popular search engines. This means that people who conduct searches come across your link among the earliest entries in the resulting listings.<p>
If this seems like biting off more than you can chew, there is always the option of hiring someone experienced in web design to assist you. Often, you can find online designers, but there are sure to be ones in your area as well. You can do an online search to find web designers. It is simple as typing in <a href="http://www.ladezign.com/websitedesignarticles/446022-graphic-designsearch.php" target="_blank">web design Los Angeles</a> in your search engine, and a list of experienced designers in that area should pop up.
No matter if you looking to the web for a marketing campaign to bring attention to your business, selling a product via online store or have an information site, you can benefit from a well laid out website design. Without visitors all of the hard work you’ve put into your site will be pointless.
